records, widely seen or heard calling from a number of locations,
including Akhna
Dam, Aspro Dam Pools, Ayios Nikolaos, Baths of Aphrodite, Cape
Andreas, Cape Greco, Fresh Water Lakes, Kantara area, Kolossi, Kritou
Terra, Manglis Lake, Oroklini Marsh, Paphos Lighthouse, Phasouri
Reed-beds, Strovolos, and Tekke Mosque area. Quail Coturnix coturnix Ones
and twos seen and heard during major influx 1-9-Apr, fewer mid-month
with resurgence late month. 100+ were reported in several parties at
Paphos Lighthouse 23-Apr. Water Rail Rallus aquaticus Phasouri
Reed-beds: at least one heard most days 3-16-Apr. Zakaki Marsh: one
most days 3-8-Apr, with two 4-Apr. Spotted Crake Porzana porzana Quite
